I joined VALA five months ago, and it has been a fantastic start. The company is full of skilled professionals with great attitudes, and we have great clients. Around 2015, before I joined, VALA people realized that this company is such a gem that it could really state, with a solid poker face, that happiness is its vision and employees come before customers.

The company has come a long way from that, but the core concept has remained the same. The happiness of our people and our clients is still the driving force behind everything we do.

But over the years, VALA has built upon that and gathered some muscle on top of its somewhat ideological bones. While the company has grown and the people with it, and while we’ve also faced more difficult times in a more challenging market, we’ve grown out of some of the more naive ideologies.

Just VALA things, a couple of alpacas at the office.

We now know that happiness shouldn’t be pursued obsessively but let it come if it wishes by making room for it with meaningful work. We’ve also learned that while our clients are happy if VALA’s people are happy, the reverse is also true: VALA people can’t be happy if our clients aren’t.

Now, in the fall of 2024, it’s time to be grown-ups for real (while still maintaining our childlike spark in the eye ;)). It’s time to state out loud what we’ve been keeping inside of us for some time. It’s time to set bold goals that tell the market who we are – and make us take the necessary steps to really achieve it.

Our new vision is to be the Greatest Quality Company in Finland.

Our new vision with our strategy symbol GOAT.

Of course, there’s much more to the strategy, like values, mission, and the actual strategic decisions, but let’s stick to the essence.

What does this vision statement mean?

It means raising our ambitions and setting higher standards for our work. Simple as that.

We have considered ourselves a top player in our field for some years already. But now, as we state, we will be the number one, so we need to start pushing with that last 10%.

We already have the best quality professionals, great clients, and a great culture. Now, we need to level up everything else at VALA to that level. In a year or so…

Lots to do! Follow us on LinkedIn to see if we can live up to our words!

P.S. This post was about our vision but below is still an image of the top level of our strategy including our Values and Mission.
