VALA’s recruitment process – and why it works

At VALA, we strive to provide an exceptional hiring experience for all candidates. Our hiring process is smooth, transparent and fair, which ensures that we find the best people to join our team. Here’s how we do it:
Step 1: Screening
First up, we screen through all applications. We review a large number of resumes, carefully searching for the most outstanding candidates. Every resume gets a fair shot because we know hidden talents can be anywhere. We treat everyone kindly and warmly, whether they are selected or not.

Step 2: First discussion – Let’s have a chat
If your resume stands out, we’ll invite you to a chat – no suits required! This is an opportunity for us to get to know you better and for you to learn more about our company. We’ll talk about your background, your career goals, and how you might fit into our VALA team. This is a two-way conversation designed to ensure there’s a mutual fit and this is your chance to see if we’re your cup of tea (or coffee, or smoothie, we’re not picky).
Step 3: Coding assignment (or relevant task) – Show us your talent
For some roles, we want to see your superpowers in action. We’ll give you a coding assignment or some other relevant task, and this will help get a better picture of your skills and give you a chance to showcase your abilities. We want you to succeed and provide all the information you need to complete the assignment.
Step 4: Second discussion
You’ve impressed us, and now it’s time for the second round – meeting the customer management team! This is usually a more in-depth discussion to figure out how VALA’s customer projects match your knowledge, wishes and interests. This stage helps us get a better sense of your fit within our VALA team and culture, and it’s also a great opportunity for you to ask any detailed questions you might have.
Step 5: Decision making and hiring
Finally, we reach the grand finale – the decision-making stage. Our team will review all the information gathered during the process and decide if you would be a perfect fit for the role. If you’re the chosen one, we’ll extend a job offer and discuss the next steps. If it’s not the right time, we’ll give you thorough feedback and keep in touch for future opportunities.
