Our new strategy’s vision is to be the Greatest Quality Company in Finland by the end of 2025. But how does this affect the ones doing it, VALA people? 

In general, we strongly believe that a sense of progress and success positively impacts everything. Working in the greatest quality company will provide professional fulfillment, reputation, personal growth, work-life balance and competitive benefits and salaries. 

Below is an image where we’ve collected various aspects of how this strategy – when implemented successfully – positively affects VALA people. The columns are for each of our strategy streams (i.e. focus areas) and thus many of the things in the lists come directly from the streams’ implementation plans.

In the following, we’ll highlight a few aspects of how being the Greatest Quality Company positively impacts VALA people.

Project selection

Growing and becoming a market leader will inevitably increase the amount of project opportunities for VALA people. Increased demand will also make it easier to change projects if needed. 

The quality of projects

When we are the number one partner for our clients, as is our goal in the new strategy, the overall quality of our projects will be better, especially for VALA people. We will have more people from VALA per project which enhances collaboration and communality. We will have a more significant role at the client, which will enable more important roles for VALA individuals too. Lastly, as a market leader we will get to work with larger and generally more interesting projects. 

Competence Development

The vision of being the greatest sets standards for our competence development, which needs to be among the best there is. We will put a lot of focus in developing this which will result in better plans for developing our skills, as individuals and as a company. This will result in better skills/services match with the clients and through that into more opportunities and increased prices. And increased prices enable increased salaries.

Benefits

In order to be the greatest, we need to have the greatest quality people, and to attract and keep the best, our benefits need to be in “the greatest” level. 

Wellbeing and mental health

It goes without saying that no one can do great work if they are not feeling well physically and mentally. Thus we have a strong focus on these in this strategy, especially in mental health. 

Stable workplace

VALA has always been an extremely stable workplace. For example we have never had change negotiations, even in times when seemingly all companies in our field had them. But if we reach our goals in this new strategy, we will be an even more stable home for quality professionals.
